CREST THEATRE

106 EAST 5TH ST, SUPERIOR, NE
OPENED: OCTOBER 17, 1951

ARCHITECTS: ROBERT O BOLLER & DIETZ LUSK JR

When the Crest opened with "Painting the Clouds with Sunshine" in 1951, it showcased the most modern features: From a lush carpet, a lounge area, and both a crying and a party room on the second level. The Crest has remained a cornerstone in Superior ever since. Now owned by the Southern Nebraska Arts Council (SNAC), they are devoted to continue the tradition of entertainment into the future.
The Crest had been on our radar for several years, as we watched them through social media. Their dedication to their community and their patrons shone brightly. So, we decided to take a weekend and head down to see the theater. The staff at the Crest greet you with open arms, and you are immediately welcomed into their theater family. Recently, their ROUNDED concession stand was built for them by a volunteer. That's the type of community they have grown here.
